Wow, what a great ministry idea! I see the need for this first hand as well as I work in the Cancer Center at Rex. My husband and I would love to hear more about this ministry! Do you also have hospital visitation teams? IF so I would be interested in that too!

[B] Make a glow-in-the-dark SummitSlap™ bracelet that doubles as a pen and I’m totally there.

I just want to say that Pastor Danny and Pastor Chris did an excellent job this morning at the 11AM service. My wife and I along with our boys were visiting from Ohio as our daughter Kristi Rau attends Summit. The technical problems were completely a NON- issue. The worship and teaching were great. Pastor JD can be very proud of the well seasoned and spiritually connected staff that he has in leadership at Summit. There are not a lot of people that can step into a very stressful situation like that and pull it off in such a way that the gospel message and ministry were not negatively affected.
I know that the Lord deserves the credit, but he used two well prepared vessels this morning and I want to thank you for your willingness to put yourself in his hands. We were truly blessed!

Thank you for posting this blog. I am currently praying about going to Summit as opposed to my home church. As I was looking through the website I ran across this article. As a girlfriend of a guy who is in seminary and aspiring to be a church planter and pastor, this really was encouraging to me. I myself am a nurse tech at WakeMed and also after many mission trips, feel called to missions. I am working on my nursing degree and would like to eventually be a medical missionary. Thank you for the encouragement to share the gospel with coworkers and patients. I have heard about your story from Faith Freeman, my roommate, and was inspired then and even more now as God put this article in my path.
