Starting Point Marathon this Saturday!
Dec 9th
Bobby Herrington is a part of the Brier Creek Saturday team.
This weekend at the Saturday night campus we will be hosting our last Starting Point Marathon of 2010, which will take place right after the 4:15 pm service in room 111 at Brier Creek. We will start between 5:45 pm and 6:00 pm. Both dinner and childcare will be provided.
Starting Point is our official process to become a covenant member at the Summit. Yet its even more than that, Starting Point is a chance to go from being connected to the church to being committed to the mission that God has given the Summit church. Starting Point is also a chance to hear more about the beliefs and mission of the Summit and how you can be involved.
Hope to see you there!

Small Group Leader Training
Dec 2nd
Bobby Herrington is the Brier Creek Saturday Campus Intern.
If you have been at the Summit for any amount of time you probably know that you can make friends at our weekend services but true community and fellowship happens in Small Groups. This is also where we disciple one another to live out the gospel. This is exactly why we put so much emphasis on Small Groups because they are essential for our church being on mission for God.
With that said, we are having a new Small Group leader training this weekend for the Brier Creek Saturday night campus. Who does “new leader” apply to you ask? This is anyone who has become a Small Group leader in the last six months. Yet, don’t think this isn’t for you seasoned Small Group leaders. This will be a great opportunity to bring someone in your Small Group as a way to prepare them for leading a Small Group in the future.
As for the details, new leader training will be this Saturday night from 5:45pm – 7:15pm in Suite 111 at the Brier Creek campus. Childcare and refreshments will be provided. We hope to see you there!
Prayer & Vision Night
Nov 30th
Our annual Prayer & Vision Night is coming up next week. We’ll be gathering Tuesday, December 7th at 6:45 PM in the auditorium. Here are the top five reasons you should attend…
- See your peeps. All campuses will be representing that night. Don’t miss a chance to catch up with old friends.
- Big vision. Pastor J.D. will be casting some major 2011 initiatives. If you want to know where the Summit is going, this is the time to find out.
- Corporate prayer. It’s an outstanding time for us as a church to declare our dependence on Christ. Don’t just talk about prayer…pray.
- Vote on stuff. Our proposed 2011 budget and bylaws changes will be voted on that evening. Covenant members can and should vote! (Download a copy here.)
Childcare is provided through 4th grade.
